meet Claudia

creator of the first intelligent sports bra

From Swimrun Bras to the First Intelligent Sports Bra

Claudia started with an insight. While running during summer vacations, she wanted to swim afterward, but her sports bra and shorts weren’t up to the challenge. After finding no hybrid gear that worked both on land and in water, she decided to quit her career of 20 years as a teacher and create it herself. Collaborating with scientists and textile engineers at Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa), they developed a fast-drying, high-tech fabric and designed the Swijin double-layer bra, offering land support and swimsuit-like compression.

After a newspaper article about their research, elite Swiss athletes approached them, seeking a sports bra that truly addressed their needs. Despite many sports bras on the market, none solved key issues: poor support, slow drying, chafing, and restrictive underbust bands.

This sparked a new mission: to reinvent the sports bra with input from sports physiologists, textile engineers, and elite athletes. They created bras with underbust bands that allow easy breathing, seamless designs to prevent chafing, and superior upper breast support for optimal performance.
